Looooonnngg Weekend Giggles

There was a time in my life where I would LIVE for the weekend to roll around, and believe me it didn’t EVER come fast enough. The thought of a 4 day weekend was like Christmas to me. It was what I looked forward to the most. As I sit here and write this, I ask myself why this was the way I felt?  Because I hated my job, I hated my commute to work, I hated where I was living, and I was in the complete WRONG place in my life. I did not enjoy living in the big city where everyone fends for themself.   I am a person who feels that if you are unhappy with your life, it is your responsibility to change it. So I did.  I moved from a city of 1 million people, to 60,000. I spend my days helping people realize their full potential in life.  I help them see their dreams and understand that they deserve them. I also provide for them a method of achieving those dreams. It’s called Oxyfresh and it has changed my entire life, as well as many others. I don’t dream about long weekends anymore. Truth is, I can take a long weekend whenever I feel like.  I think I’ll spend this long weekend planning my move to Mexico!

Wander Lust

Some say I am running away, I say I am merely searching for more.   I wander… I have spent the majority of my life wandering. Packing up, moving around, traveling, exploring, searching out the world for a better life.  I know it is out there and I will not stop until I find it.  I have a vision of the life I want to live…. and I have found the path to take me there, but I will not stop wandering. I suffer from Wander Lust. This is such an incredible world that need to feed the desire to discover all it has to offer. I know I’m not alone, I am just not afraid to admit it.

How to achieve happiness – His Holiness, The Dalai Lama

For a start, it is possible to divide every kind of happiness and suffering into two main categories: mental and physical.  Of the two, it is the mind that exerts the greatest influence on most of us.  Unless we are either gravely ill or deprived of basic necessities, our physical condition plays a secondary role in life.  If the body is content, we virtually ignore it. The mind, however, registers every event, no matter how small. Hence we should devote our most serious efforts to bringing about mental peace.

From my own limited experience I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion.

The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes. Cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. This helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the ultimate source of success in life.

As long as we live in this world we are bound to encounter problems. If, at such times, we lose hope and become discouraged, we diminish our ability to face difficulties. If, on the other hand, we remember that it is not just ourselves but every one who has to undergo suffering, this more realistic perspective will increase our determination and capacity to overcome troubles. Indeed, with this attitude, each new obstacle can be seen as yet another valuable opportunity to improve our mind!

Thus we can strive gradually to become more compassionate, that is we can develop both genuine sympathy for others’ suffering and the will to help remove their pain. As a result, our own serenity and inner strength will increase.
